POKÉMON (2023 ~)

As of late 2023, I have been recruited to edit a variety of official Pokémon videos.
First project was nailing the look and feel of an informative episodic series around Pokémon Professors, educating anyone interested in becoming one.

As those continue to roll out, I've been busy with officially licensed Pokémon product videos.

NETFLIX (2022 - 2024)

Produced a myriad of marketing material and content for the dozens titles that debuted throughout the year at Netflix. Directly collaborating with brand partners like Hasbro, Mattel, Dreamworks, Sega and more.
Unique and strategic, I developed a large amount of content to help promote legacy titles like Sonic Prime,
Kung Fu Panda, My Little Pony, Boss Baby, Cuphead, One Piece, as well as brand new premiering titles like
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Scott Pilgrim, Battle Kitty, Inside Job, Oddballs, My Dad the Bounty Hunter and more.

I've gained a lot of experience as a core member of Netflix’s Animation Series Marketing.

With a focus on the newly rebranded YouTube channel, After School, my team was focused on an 'Always On' strategy,

a brilliant marketing approach to spend an extra effort on promoting any of our key titles in timeless videos,
breaking free from the usual pre & post-launch marketing windows.
Work includes brand new pilots, v-tuber hosts, weekly livestreams, official trailers, music videos and more.

Sonic Prime, Kung Fu Panda, My Little Pony, Boss Baby, Cuphead, Agent Elvis, One Piece, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners,

Inside Job, Oddballs, and many more, in collaboration with partners like Hasbro, Mattel, Dreamworks and Sega.

As of June 2023, I am continuing my work with Netflix on a freelancing project-to-project basis.

AMV COMMENTS
anime of the year.png

EDGERUNNERS AMV (2022)

76 million views and counting...
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a fantastic show, with an ending that's up there with some of the most prestigious anime.
The hit single really punches you in the gut in the season finale, leaving fans with an earworm that only a replay can satisfy. And what better place to talk about the show, your heartbreak and your clinical depression than the YT comments.

I jumped at the opportunity to work on this as a huge fan,  dove head first into the edit. The entire music video was edited by me in 48 hours, approved in 72 by Netflix, CDPR, and the artist.
Later the video was uploaded to Netflix Main, Netflix Anime, as well as Cyberpunk 2077's official channel, and shared across Twitter and Facebook.

Edgerunners would later go on to win Anime of the Year at 2023 Crunchyroll's Anime Awards, the only
non-Crunchyroll nominated title.

Three years later, It is now No. 1, the most viewed video on Netflix's YT channel with zero boosted promotion and 100% organic growth with 1M+ likes.

"You can tell whoever edited this video really liked the anime too."

SCOTT PILGRIM
TAKES OFF (2023)

As a big fan of the property and anime studio, I was shocked to hear there was going to be more Scott Pilgrim material.
Then I was asked to help create the announcement, not just for the show, but also that the majority of the movie cast was coming back. Edited solely by me, including unique original doodles to help carry the cast and their respective roles. (Hearts for Ramona, Skateboard for Lucas Lee, etc.) A super fun project, came together rather quickly. Shared by the majority of the cast & producers, the news spread in an incendiary wave of hype across social media.

In addition to the news-breaking buzz, I helped package promo clips with custom endcards, and edited two BTS pieces around the production of the show.
One video shares the cast recording some of their lines from the show, the other is a full-fledged documentary, following the creator and writers in Japan, visiting the famed anime studio, ScienceSARU.
Later that year, I had the opportunity to join some of the Netflix team for the Scott Pilgrim panel at NYCC 2023.

Toon In Credits

GEEKED [TOON IN] (2022)

A brand new endeavor for Netflix, the best animation showcase on the internet. Hosted by the amazing @kierapleaze, this weekly live show talks about all of the amazing animation Netflix has to offer, with sneak peeks, special guests and more! With less than a week until the premiere, I was tasked to build promotional materials, including :15 and :30 second trailers. Throughout its season, I was tasked with creating social assets weekly, including interview cutdowns, highlight compilations, live chat interactions, games, and more.
The following year, [TOON - IN] would evolve into DROP 01.

CRUNCHYROLL (2018 ~)

Over several years, I’ve made many friends with the people at Crunchyroll.

Freelancing for them allowed me to touch different projects like writing,

hosting and producing social videos, editing video essays,

and turning 40 hours worth of Japan footage to a full-fledged documentary.

In late 2021, I joined the Social Video Team as one

of their editors for the Crunchyroll Collection YT channel.

Duties include selecting and packaging prime clips from current

simulcast anime, as well as optimization of titles and thumbnails for said clips.
In 2024 I have continued my relationship with CR as a freelance video editor on a project-to-project basis.

Maybe they understand each other.

SWAN BOY for FXX (2021)

Initially brought on as Animatic Editor, that responsibility evolved into Final Animation Editor. Augenblick Studios produced this new cartoon, Swan Boy, as a part of FX's CAKE anthology series. The synchronization between the network and studio really felt cohesive and I really felt like I hit my stride working on this project. It was both new and challenging, with hours of live online edits using groundbreaking remote software. The entire project was incredibly rewarding, as I felt appreciated at every step of production, contributing my personal touches in graphics, music & score selection, sfx, and edits that would elevate the humor. It was a strong reminder of what I love about cartoons and why I love them. Truly one of the top highlights of my career. The creator, Branson Reese, is hysterical.

Frederator (2012 - 2020)

In addition to editing hundreds of videos across several owned and operated channels,

I have also hosted, written, developed and produced a large amount of the live-action content,

as well as animated for some of the projects.
As a producer, I primarily managed a freelance pool of video editors, assigning and polishing their edits,

and providing other means of post-production supervision.

Giving clear and concise notes and revisionary feedback, audio mixing/cutting,

digital media management, and the transferring of project files between multiple computers.
As we continued to ramp up our video content in both quantity and quality,

I was heavily involved in the piloting process and development for new videos and show-types.

We have attended several live events, including conventions for on-site production,

as well as hosted our own events at the YouTube Space in NY.

YouTube Channels include, Channel Frederator, Cartoon Hangover, The Leaderboard, Cinematica and Get in the Robot.

Super Coin Crew

Super Coin Crew is an officially sponsored channel by Nintendo. A channel centered around Splatoon and Super Mario Maker. Helping promote Nintendo's newest IPs with breaking news, showcasing and debuting Nintendo product, featuring a tips-and-tricks series based around Splatoon, and listicle video content about Nintendo's most popular games.

In collaboration between Frederator and Nintendo, Cade and I developed original content where we directed, wrote, produced and hosted 120+ videos. Growing the channel, in a short time, to 45,000+ subscribers, averaging 1.5 million monthly views.

In addition to hosting, writing, and editing the videos, I also helped establish brand guidelines for the channel to ensure we were faithful to Nintendo's strict styleguides. This gave us a lot of controlled creativity, being able to play within their respective game's unique look and feel and ideate original motion graphics and animation. (e.g. Splatoon or Super Mario Maker videos on the channel).

Directly corresponded with members of Nintendo's Strategic Initiatives department as well as Marketing & PR.
